Hi! I'm Amber,
By day, I work with robot hands and haptic gloves, and by night, I teach what I consider this worlds magic: technology and tinkering.
With roots in Arduino (electronics), working with many materials (silver, leather, silicone, foams, fabric), and connecting hardware to software, I feel te freedom to create what I can imagine, and teach others to do the same. This can be anywhere from teaching leatherwork, to making animatronics, small robots, or special effects.
I work at SenseGlove, where I wrote the main software for our haptic gloves (SenseGlove R1) to control robot hands, and generate forces on your own fingers when the robot hand touches anything. By controlling robot hands, we can now show robots how to do tasks via machine learning, which is becoming my main focus.
While I mostly do software, I am a jack of all trades, and try to advocate and pick up the projects which I think will have the most impact, and will bring the feeling of magic to people!
